This workshop introduces dance from a sacred a perspective with the goal of getting you spiraling upwards on your spiritual, healing, or recovery journey. Rhythm, breathing, and the body’s energy centers are engaged with dance by drawing on sacred geometry, fractals, mystical experiences, and various teachings. During the workshop, you’ll connect dance with your Light, using Ancient Egyptian dance motifs.  In addition to engaging with dance on this level, you’ll learn to craft personal intentions so that you carry these with you into your daily experiences.

The format of each of the three session includes inspiration and centering; learning and dancing a piece of choreography; time for reflection, community, and writing; and setting personal intentions for a time period of your choice. A Dance in the Spirit journal is provided for each participant.

No prior dance knowledge is needed. Please bring your open mind, and wear comfortable clothing.

As a dancer, teacher, dance company owner, and choreographer with over 20 years of experience, Carla teaches sacred dances through daily meditation practice, retreats, and workshops to ignite spiritual growth and development in adults and children. She’s an award-wining author on the power of dance to influence people, as described in her book Dance, Consumerism, and Spirituality. Her most recent article, “Dance that Really Delivers; Sacred Dance is finally getting its due as Divine,” appears in Unity Magazine (May/June 2018). Carla believes that theodance—any dance that results in a mystical experience—has the power to soothe the soul, aid recovery, and heal humanity.
