Acclaimed pastry chef Maya Erickson will be your guide during this private class for up to 6. Named a 2015 SF Chronicle Rising Star and 2013 Zagat’s 30 under 30, Maya also received a nomination for Food & Wine’s Best New Pastry Chef. Formerly the Head Pastry Chef at San Francisco’s Michelin-starred Lazy Bear, she is now pastry chef at Langbaan, Portland’s renowned Thai restaurant with a months-long waiting list. Maya will also be featured in an upcoming documentary airing on Netflix from the creative team that produced the Oscar-winning 20 Feet from Stardom and the recently released documentary on Anthony Bourdain, Roadrunner.
- Private two-hour pastry class for up to 6 with nationally recognized pastry chef Maya Erickson
- Class options include: 1) French Macaron: basics and principles including flavor concepts, piping, and filling 2) Tartlets for a Sweetheart: basics of tart dough, filling, and decoration 3) or a dessert decided by mutual agreement
- Ingredients for the class will be provided. Auction winner and their guests will need to provide kitchen equipment and tools for the class.
